Landscape in Africa

Africa, Asia & Pacific

For groups that want something genuinely unfamiliar

Eleven destinations where the language, the food, the wildlife and the sporting culture are far enough from home that a two-week trip resets a young traveler's sense of the world.

Africa, Asia & Pacific

What travel in Africa, Asia & Pacific actually looks like

These are our longest and most ambitious itineraries. The flights are serious, so we build twelve to sixteen days rather than seven, and we plan the trip so the cost of getting there is repaid in what your group actually sees.

South Africa is our most requested destination in the region: rugby and field hockey at a high standard, Cape Town and the Garden Route, safari country, and a history that gives student-athletes something substantial to think about. Morocco pairs sport with the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara. Japan offers baseball, volleyball and a level of sporting discipline that is instructive to watch up close. Australia and New Zealand deliver rugby, netball and landscapes with no American equivalent.

Because these trips involve more moving parts, we plan them further out — twelve months is comfortable — and we staff them carefully on the ground.

Signature experiences

What groups remember from Africa, Asia & Pacific

Sport at a different standard

South African rugby and field hockey, Japanese baseball and volleyball, Australian and Kiwi rugby cultures.

History that lands

Robben Island and District Six, Hiroshima, the Silk Road cities — context student-athletes carry home.

Service, done properly

Where a group wants a service component, we work with established local partners rather than staging photo opportunities.

Practical planning

Before you commit to the region

Honest constraints, so the trip you approve is the trip you get.

Trip length

Plan twelve to sixteen days. A seven-day long-haul trip spends too much of itself in transit to justify the airfare.

Lead time

Twelve months is ideal. Group air, permits, park access and fixtures are all harder to secure late in this region.

Documents & health

Visas apply for several destinations, and some require specific vaccinations or malaria guidance. We brief every traveler in writing.

Seasons flip

Southern-hemisphere seasons are inverted — the American summer is South African and Australian winter, which affects both sport and wildlife viewing.

How it works

Four steps, and we carry most of the weight

Most organizers have never planned an international trip before. That's normal — and it's our job, not yours.

  1. 01

    Tell us about your group

A short conversation with the coach, teacher, administrator or parent organizing the trip. Goals, timing, group size, travel experience and budget.

  2. 02

    We design your trip

We recommend destinations that actually fit, then build one or two tailored proposals with a day-by-day itinerary and per-person pricing. You give feedback; we refine until it's right.

  3. 03

    Your group registers and prepares

We open registration and handle payments, documents and traveler questions directly, so you're not chasing forms. Fundraising and contribution support is available if you need it.

  4. 04

    Travel and experience it

Group flights, transfers, hotels, guides, matches and activities are locked and staffed. You coach and enjoy the trip; we run the logistics.
