Located only 1.5 hours from Portland, ME airport and within driving distance of most of the Northeastern United States, Sunday River has a variety of terrain that the entire family can enjoy. Add to that, opportunities for dog sledding, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing, along with the charming New England village of Bethel and you have an unforgettable ski vacation experience!

Did You Know?: In the 1990’s, Sunday River operated a ski train from Portland to Bethel, with a bus going the final couple of miles to the resort. Amenities included a dining car, parlor car, and a boxcar for carrying skis and snowboards. We would love to see it make a comeback one day!
