About the Trip
This is a custom ActivSport Travel trip created for students and their friends/family from the Cape Fear Community College Men’s Soccer Team to sightsee in and around Paris & Nice in March 2025.

Trip Itinerary
March 7 - Depart from RDU
Arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare (the general recommendation is to arrive 3 hours early for international flights). Depart Raleigh (RDU); don’t forget your passport! (Sleep on the plane)
March 8 - Arrival Day
Land in Nice/Paris. Your ActivSport Travel trip leaders will be waiting for you outside the secured area (after you collect your luggage). Check into the hotel. Dinner together as a group. Evening free to relax and recover from the overnight flight.

March 9 - Nice City Tour & Musée Matisse
We will start our day with a walking tour of Vieux Nice to orient you to the city. Highlights include Massena square, the Opera House, Cours Saleya market, Promenade des Anglais, and Castle Hill, where you can see the best view of the city. Afternoon training session.

March 10 - Èze & Monaco
Today we leave the city and start by exploring Èze. This medieval seaside village, perched 1,400 feet above the Mediterranean Sea, is home to one of the best views on the French Riviera. In the afternoon, we will head further down the coast to Monaco, one of the smallest (and most opulent) countries in the world. Walk the harborfront to see the yachts of the world’s rich and famous, or do your best James Bond impression at the world-famous Casino de Monte Carlo. Return to the hotel in the evening.

March 11 - Free Time & Friendly Match
Free time in the morning to explore Nice. In the afternoon, put your skills to the test in your first friendly match vs. a French team.

March 12 - Travel to Paris
In the morning, travel to Paris by plane or high-speed train. Depending on our arrival time, we will check into our hotel or drop off our bags. In the evening, we will discover Paris on an unforgettable evening Bike Tour (definitely the best way to see the city!) and a Seine River Cruise. Sites will include: Champs de Mars, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ile de la Cite, Ile Saint Louis, Berthillon’s Ice Cream Parlor, Academie Francaise, Princess Diana Flame, Invalides, Ecole Militaire, Napoleon’s Tomb, and more!

March 13 - Latin Quarter & Friendly Match
In the morning, We will walk the narrow cobblestoned streets of Paris’s famed Latin Quarter, the home of Paris’s University, the Sorbonne, and intellectual Paris for centuries. You will have free time to explore this very interesting part of Paris. Afternoon/evening friendly match.

March 14 - Friendly Match and Eiffel Tower
In the morning, we will visit Paris’ most iconic landmark: the Eiffel Tower. During our visit, we will ascend the tower for Paris’s best view! In the afternoon/evening, compete against a French team in a friendly match.

March 15 - Louvre
In the morning, we will visit the world’s most famous art museum, the Louvre, where you can see the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Free time in the afternoon to visit your favorite part of Paris. Cap off the trip with a farewell dinner together in the evening.

March 16 -Travel Day
Fly home from Paris.
What’s Included
Airfare
Round trip airfare, including taxes, fuel surcharges, and fees (package w/o flights available if you would prefer to purchase your own airfare).
Accommodations
Accommodation each night at group-friendly properties in double or triple occupancy.
Guided Tours/Activities
All guided tours/activities (including entrance fees) to cultural/historic sites, rainforest adventures, and other points of interest as listed are included throughout the tour.
Sports Expenses
All sport related expenses (sport facilities, referees, and other associated costs).
Ground Transportation
All ground transportation costs upon arrival (including fuel surcharges, tolls, and parking).
Trip Leader Services
Full-time Trip Leaders assigned to your group for the duration of the trip and available to answer questions, handle emergencies, etc.
Two Meals a Day
Breakfast at your hotel each day, and a either lunch or dinner each day are included.
