Fundraising that closes the gap

Cost is the most common reason a team never travels. Our in-house fundraising program exists to remove that obstacle — we pay for the prizes and the materials, and your travelers keep everything they raise.

The program

A sweepstakes run at our expense, not yours

ActivSport Travel has historically run its own in-house fundraising program at no cost to participating groups. Participants also have access to direct contribution pages and receive 100% of the funds they collect.

  • Prizes and materials paid for by ActivSport Travel
  • No cost to your team, school or program
  • Participants receive 100% of the funds they collect
  • Direct contribution pages for family, alumni and community giving
  • Works alongside your existing team fundraising
  • Support from us while the campaign is running

Full terms are in the official sweepstakes rules. Program availability is confirmed with your group at planning.

How it works

Four steps from ticket book to drawing

01

We issue your ticket books

Each participant receives a book of 100 sweepstakes tickets, a record sheet and instructions. ActivSport pays for the prizes and the materials — there is no cost to your program.

02

Participants collect donations

We suggest a donation of $10 or more per ticket, but there is no required amount. Donors can take up to ten entries per family.

03

Stubs and funds go to your administrator

Return all stubs, the record sheet and the money to your program administrator, who forwards the stubs to the ActivSport office. Sold out? We will send a second book of 100.

04

The annual drawing

The prize drawing is held each September, and winners are announced and notified then. Odds depend on the total number of entries submitted.

Fundraising FAQs

The practical questions

Anything not covered here, ask your trip organizer or email groups@astravel.world.

When are the prize winners announced?

The annual drawing is held in September each year. Winners are announced and notified at that time.

Do the tickets have to be sold for $10?

No, there is no required purchase amount. We recommend a suggested donation of $10 or more per ticket.

If I sell all my tickets, can I get more?

Yes. Send the first pack of 100 ticket stubs to our office and we will process a second book of 100 for you.

What do I do with the money and stubs once I have sold the tickets?

Return all ticket stubs, the record sheet and donation money to your program administrator, who then sends the received stubs to the ActivSport office.

Can a donor get more than one ticket entry?

Yes, however there is a limit of 10 entries per family.

What are the odds of winning?

This depends on the number of entries submitted.

Can I go door to door alone?

We encourage anyone participating in the sweepstakes to be accompanied by a family member or friend.

Can I set up a table at a local event to solicit?

Yes. Make sure to get permission from the event organizers in advance to prevent issues.
