This is a custom ActivSport Travel trip created for students and their friends/family from the Thomas College Men’s Soccer Team to sightsee in and around Amsterdam, Netherlands and Dortmund and Cologne, Germany in March 2025.

Trip Itinerary
March 7 - Travel to Amsterdam
KLM #618 Depart 9:15pm Arrive 9:55am
Arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare (the general recommendation is to arrive 2-3 hours early for international flights). Don’t forget your passport! (Sleep on the plane)
March 8 - Arrive Amsterdam & Professional Match
Land in beautiful Amsterdam (KLM #618 9:55am local time). Your ActivSport Travel trip leader will be waiting for you outside the secured area (after you collect your luggage). Transfer to the hotel to check in/drop bags depending on flight arrival time. After, we will a team lunch together, then rest after the long flight.
In the evening we will attend a Dutch Eredivisie professional game featuring PSV vs SC Heerenveen.

March 9 - Amsterdam Bike Tour & Ajax Stadium Tour
Today we will head into Amsterdam to visit the city’s best sites on a relaxing bike tour through the picturesque streets of Zaanse Schans. After, you will have time to explore and find lunch on your own. We will travel to Ajax’s Johan Cruijff Arena stadium for a group tour. Following the tour we will transfer back to Utrecht, where you will have free time before an early evening dinner.

March 10 - Visit Utrecht
Today we will visit charming Utrecht featuring its medieval town center where we will participate in a competitive team building activity. Afterwards we will have a group lunch, before departing for Amstelveen for a relaxing afternoon. You will have time to explore and find dinner on your own before your friendly match against a Dutch team.

March 11 - Transfer to Germany, FC Koln Day 1
In the morning, we will travel to Cologne, Germany (2.5 hours) where we will have our first of two days visiting and training with FC Koln. Today you will meet with FC Koln Academy Director, observe a training of FC Koln’s first team, have lunch at the stadium, and then have a training session which will be observed by FC Koln staff.
After our day with FC Koln, we will transfer to the hotel to check in and rest. In the evening, we will have a true European experience, watching a Champions League match at a local restaurant.
Bayern Munich vs. Bayer Leverkusen and/or Borussia Dortmund vs. Lille OSC

March 12 - FC Koln Day 2
Today we will have our second of two days visiting and training with FC Koln. Today will feature a Friendly Match vs FC Koln’s International Talent Program, followed by lunch and a stadium tour.
After our day at FC Koln, we will transfer to Cologne City center where we will visit the Cologne Cathedral and climb the cathedral tower.
In the evening we will catch more Champions League competition at a local establishment.
Lille OSC vs. Borussia Dortmund, Aston Villa vs. Club Brugge, and/or Atlético Madrid vs. Real Madrid

March 13 - German Football Museum, Borussia Dortmund Stadium/Museum Tour
Today we will travel via coach bus to Dortmund, where we will take a tour of Borussia Dortmund’s legendary Signal Iduna Park stadium, home of the “yellow wall”. Following the tour you will have time for lunch before we visit the fun and interactive German Football Museum. The museum showcases the rich history of German Football and celebrates its World Cup victories.
After traveling back to Cologne, we will have a farewell dinner together as a team.

March 14 - Travel Home
In the morning you will have time to relax, pack, and any last-minute shopping before we depart to Dusseldorf Airport to begin our journey home.
Depart for Boston to return home! Go Terriers!
What’s Included
Trip Leader Services
Full-time Trip Leaders assigned to your group for the duration of the trip and available to answer questions, handle emergencies, etc.
Airfare
Round trip airfare, including taxes, fuel surcharges, and fees (package w/o flights available if you would prefer to purchase your own airfare).
Two Meals a Day
Breakfast at your hotel each, and either a lunch or dinner each day are included.
Guided Tours/Activities
All guided tours/activities (including entrance fees) to cultural/historic sites, museums, and other points of interest as listed are included throughout the tour.
Sports Expenses
All sport related expenses (sport facilities, referees, and other associated costs).
Other Meals
One meal per day is not included to provide you with the opportunity to explore and select your own local food.
Ground Transportation
All ground transportation costs upon arrival (including fuel surcharges, tolls, and parking).

Accommodation each night at 3-star equivalent properties in double or triple occupancy.

Tips for ActivSport Trip Leaders, bus drivers, and/or local guides.
Professional Sports Tickets
Tickets to professional sporting events. These can be included once schedules and pricing are released. The group can decide what to attend based on that information.
Incidentals
All incidentals including, but not limited to, phone calls, laundry, shopping, and additional sightseeing not on the itinerary.
